N. Jakarta Anticipates Potholes

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. stores 20 thousand sacks of cold mix asphalt to anticipate potholes that is usually happened during rainy season.

In rainy season, we use cold mix instead of hot mix asphalt

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept.'s Road and Bridge Section Head, Ujang Royani ensured, stocks of cold mix asphalt and logistics of various materials used to repair the road and sidewalk are available.

"In rainy season, we use cold mix instead of hot mix asphalt. Total, we prepare 20 thousand sacks for emergency," he mentioned, Monday (11/12).

He explained, cold mix characteristics are more suitable to use it during rainy season because its paving process doesn't depend on weather. He admitted, cold mix asphalt is only used in emergency situation and needs to be repaired permanently after rainy season is over.

His side has prepared 104 personnel in each sub-districts and urban villages. Those personnel will follow up any residents report through regional heads or CRM application regarding potholes.

"We prepare 104 personnel in total both in sub-districts and cities. Currently we arrange five personnel to handle flood," he explained.
